Who we are at
St Michael's?

We are Christian hope
for every resident in
Surry Hills (CHERISH)
...and beyond.
What is our hope?
Our hope is to grow
as a community of
Jesus’ disciples who
care for a diverse
yet divided city,
connect with God
and one another,
celebrate the
presence of God
together & apart,
and contribute to
a glimpse of the
city to come.

Ministries

Our regular activities that you can join in with, as diverse as the people who live in our area.

Food Forest

On the front lawn of St Michael's, in conjunction with the Museum of Contemporary Art, is an art installation by Patrick Jones and the Artist as Family group.  It consists of a permaculture garden of edible plants.  Members of the community are welcome to come and freely enjoy the fruits of the forest.  We at St Michael's love the way it is shaped like the footprint of Jesus.  It is one small area of growth, fruitfullness and blessing in the middle of the city. This is a symbol for the way God's people can be: growing, fruitfull and a blessing to the inner city, if we stay following Jesus.
